Today continues the review of the "cult" movies in the world of DVD/Bluray and cinema of the past, made of real pursuits and not created with CGI. In addition to "Bullitt", one of the best chase scenes in movie history was made in the original film (not the remake ...) "Gone in 60 Seconds," a 1974 film written, directed and performed by H.B. Halicki. For the first time in the history of cinema, in fact, a car played a lead role into a movie and it is for this reason that even "Eleanor" (a black and yellow 1973 Ford Mustang) appears in the opening credits, as a normal actor. The plot tells the story of Maindrian Peace, an insurer who leads a second life as a car thief. After being hired by a producer of the South American cocaine to steal 48 cars, Pace is found to have the police in hot pursuit because of a falling out with his business partner at that point will engage an incredible chase of 40 minutes that will take him to across 5 cities, coming to destroy a total of 93 cars! Fabulous images, content and dialogues much action are the basis of a perfect recipe for the consecration of a movie became "cult" among all the fans of the genre.
   So if you have a true "Eleanor" in your collection, give it the importance it deserves not only store it in a glass case, but maybe in its company enjoy this wonderful film that will keep you glued to the screen, especially during the 40 minutes of the chase.
