Taxxi - Episode 7
Small updates on the Peugout used in Taxxi. During the previous days I only managed to apply the primer (with a subsequent pass of fine sandpaper) to the entire body, including new aerodynamic parts. Now I just have to find time to paint definitely the car with the shiny white paint. In the coming days will come more updates: see you next time!

Taxxi - Episode 8
Finally the Peugout used in Taxxi reached the paint shop! The result pleases me very much, I must say that after spending two coats of white and one transparent, the final effect is very pleasant! I proceeded to paint black also pillars of the doors and the air intake located at the center of the front bumper. I proceeded to paint black even the windows, but in this case I reserve to do some correction because the result does not satisfy me very much. However, step by step, we are almost in the finishing straight ... in a few days the Peugeout will be ready and will finally earn a place in my cabinet!

Taxxi - Episode 9
Ok, we are almost to the finishing line! I reassembled the Peugeot used in Taxxi but there are still some details to consider it complete. First, I have to do the black protective bars on the side, I have to apply the headlights and fog lamps, and I paint and apply the sign on the roof of the car. As you can see I have already applied the plates used in the first film, and in the next days I will create the Peugeot logos also be applied on the front and back of the car. As I said in my previous message, I was not happy with the way they had come the windows painted gloss black: I have then gone with fine sandpaper to remove all the paint applied, after which I applied a black adhesive film with the wrapping technique. The final effect is definitely better! See you soon with more updates!

New purchases of July
These days I made two new purchases: the Dodge Charger Daytona used by Vin Diesel in Fast & Furious 6 (produced by Greenlight) and the Chevy Bel Air Coupe 1957 used by David Hasselhoff in "Knight Rider 2000 - Survey High Speed" (produced by Yat Ming) to temporarily put the electronics of KITT. Of course it will be completely stripped and repainted in light blue (light in the picture taken from the movie). But for this job you will need to wait after the holidays!

New diecast model about Christine
Today only a small update (found on the website Hollywood Diecast) on a new diecast model that will soon be put up for sale: it's the 1968 Dodge Charger used in the movie Christine by Dennis, the friend of the main character Arnie. I always thought to create it using a simple 1968 Charger, but since that will soon be put on the market, I just have to wait! See you soon and have a nice weekend!

Hazzard Set: Boss Hogg'house - Episode 1
Starting from today, possibly once a week, I want to start a new section in this site that will not deal with modeling, but it will discuss about a TV series very dear to us, "The Dukes of Hazzard". To be more specific, this section will discuss about the set in the Warner Bros studios used in the late 70's and early 80's to represent the Hazzard County. In each episode, I will examine a building linked to some particular episode or some character from the series, showing how it was during the filming of "The Dukes of Hazzard", as appeared in other series or movies and possibly how it looks today. I will use some photos taken by me during my visit to Warner Bros Studios in 2009 ... sooner or later I would like to visit it another time so I will update my photos! But now let's start with the first building: the Boss Hogg's house!

Pasquale Ametrano's Alfasud
"Bianco Rosso e Verdone" is a classic of Italian cinema: difficult to come across someone who does not love this movie and the characters played by Carlo Verdone. However, in this movie there is definitely a character that is most beloved of all, Pasquale Ametrano, an Italian emigrated to Monaco who decides to return in Italy to vote in Matera. To do so he uses his red Alfa Romeo Alfasud and during the journey, thanks to its carelessness, begin to suffer a continuous series of thefts and harassment. Besides Pasquale, one of the undisputed characters of this film is also the Alfasud. For this reason I decided to add it to my collection! I purchased the model in limited edition (2000 pieces) produced by KK Scale models: this model seem well done (while not presenting openings) but the level of detail is very high! Certainly after the holidays, in September, I'll show you in more detail! Have a good weekend!
