Knight Rider (2008)

Let's go back to 2008: the idea was more than good, modernize the old TV series "Knight Rider" bringing it in the new century. The signs were there: a David Hasselhoff cameo that was supposed to pass the baton to the new character played by Justin Bruening, a beautiful Mustang Shelby GT500 that would worthily replaced the original Pontiac Trans Am and a bit of action mixed with a pinch of humor, just like in the original series. Unfortunately, things did not go very well, and the series was discontinued after only one season, for a total of 18 episodes. Reasons? Hard to say, but the possible causes were recycled stories from old series or exaggerated so as not to seem true and intensive use of CGI that if on the one hand allowed to make KITT stunts or processing than ever before, from another took away a bit of that magic to which we had become accustomed to the original series. Unfortunately I could not find a version in Italian language, but it could not miss in my collection of movies and TV series. So, here we are the box of the series "Knight Rider" (2008), accompanied naturally by the diecast model of KITT produced by Shelby Collectibles. The episodes are contained in 4 DVD, in English language without subtitles: at least they could make an effort putting those in the original language!
