The shield

During the last weekend, I worked on the Frankenstein's Mustang from the movie "Death Race". I created the 2 lateral air intakes (back to the doors) and the rear spoiler with the big rear shield. Now I need only to create all the components on the quarter panels. Stay tuned for future updates!!

MOPAR & Dukes Fest

Yesterday I received from Gianpy the invitation for the "MOPAR & Dukes Fest" meeting (14th of June): it will be a good chance to glorify a lot of great american cars, especially the replicas of the cars used in the TV series "The Dukes of Hazzard". Maybe, it's possible I will expose some of my diecast models (Lee1, pre-Cooter GL, Dirty Mary Crazy Larry Charger, Collier & Co. Traveller, etc.). I hope to see a lot of people at this meeting!!

Other updates on the Frankestein's Mustang

Yesterday, I created a lateral body extension on the left quarter panel. I need to finish it, adding other 2 elements and then polishing it, but I'm satisfied about the result obtained. Within the next fews days, I will create the same pieces on the other side and then I will proceed to create the armours on the screens.

Death Race: the shell is almost finished!

Finally, today I finished to create the extra elements on the body of the Frankestein's Mustang. To complete the exterior I need only to create the armours on the screens and the machine guns over the hood, then I will paint all the body with a dark grey, adding also a ruined effect. Have a nice weekend!

The "real" DeLorean DMC-12

Many people are accustomed to see this car only decorated with tubes, wires and bright plates, but today I would like to show you the "real" DeLorean DMC-12. This model is produced by SunStar and it's a must for every "Back to the Future" fan! In this case, on the rear there isn't the atomic engine created by Doc, but there is the reproduction of the real "PRV V6" created by Peugeot, Renault, e Volvo. Another great difference is on the front of the car, because in this case the front wheels are steerable (in the BTTF releases the front wheels are fixed).
So, if you want to complete your "Back to the Future" collection, I advice you to buy this diecast model: the price is very cheaper and the quality is very good!!

The first shield

Only limited progress during these days... I created the shield for the back window: this part is composed of two main parts (one overlapped to the other) and 8 little strips arranged adjacent to each other. Finally, the shield has been superimposed and fixed to the back window with double-sided tape.
In the coming days I hope to be able to terminate the shields on all other glass surfaces.

Music Videos - Part VI

The last time I showed you a music video was in January with "Un'altra come te" performed by the "Bloom 06" (with K.I.T.T. from "Knight Rider"). Today I want to show you the music video of the song "Steve McQueen" sung by Sheryl Crow: in this wonderful video you can see the beautiful singer on some vehicles that have characterized the life of Steve McQueen, including the awesome Ford Mustang 390 GT 1968 from the famous movie "Bullit". But that's enough with words and enjoy the video!

Ghostbusters 3 ready to roll by late 2009?

Production on Ghostbusters 3 could begin as early as November or December this year, according to an article in the LA Times.
Dan Aykroyd, one of the original Ghostbusters, said the script is by Year One writers Lee Eisenberg and Gary Stupnitsky and will feature a new generation of spook-chasers taking over from the old team.
The original gang is back - Aykroyd will be joined by Harold Ramis, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson - and Sigourney Weaver is also returning, the article said. (www.star-ecentral.com)

The shields on the windows

After some days of work, I've finished the protective shields for all the windows. Now I need to finish each piece with sandpaper and then the body will be ready to be treated with the primer. Meanwhile, I'm trying to think how to create the machine gun and how to customize the interior. But now enjoy the pictures!

Two simple updates on my Lee1

The other day I won on eBay a beautiful object about the Lee1, the first General Lee ever built. Waiting for that object arrives at my house, I decided to fix two flaws that my Lee1 has always had: the push bar and the antenna close to the hood. So, I created a new push bar with the plasticard (now with the proper point of attack on the body) and then I scaled the base of the antenna, now more precise and less coarse.

A gift for Andrew

This is one of the reasons why I love this hobby: donate a smile to Andrew was a pleasure for me! I would like to thank Andrew's mom (Rebecca) and Joey Gowdy for allowing all this to take place.

Another Bullit's Mustang

Yesterday I received one of my last purchases, the awesome '68 Ford Mustang GT390 produced by AutoArt. This is the car used by Steve McQueen in the movie "Bullit" and it's famous for its amazing chasing chase through San Francisco.
There was already in my collection a Bullit's Mustang produced by ERTL, but the model of AUTOart is much better: I need only to add the famous license plate JJZ 109 and then it will be perfect! In the next days will make a comparative test with the ERTL Mustang.
