USA 2009: Day 1

Unfortunately, my holidays in the USA are finished. I visited 3 wonderful cities (Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas) and a lot of awesome TV/movies locations (Beverly Hills 90210, Bullitm, Friends, The Dukes of Hazzard, Gilmore Girls, etc.). I'm sorry because during the trip I've not updated this site, but in the next days, I will publish a lot of pictures, so you will see all the places I visited.
However, during the first day, I visited the Walk of Fame, the Chinese Theatre, the Mulholland Drive Lookout Point and the evening, I saw the basket match "L.A. Lakers vs. L.A. Clippers" at the Staples Center. I hope you will enjoy watching all these pictures!!

USA 2009: Day 2

These are all the pictures I soot the second day in L.A.: as you can see, I visited Venice Beach and Malibu, two of the beautiful beaches of the West Coast. Moreover, I tryed for the second time to view the famous Hollywood Sign closely but I've not hit the mark! So, I finished the day visiting the house used in the TV series "Beverly Hills, 90210", located at 1675 E. Altadena Drive, Altadena (CA). Tomorrow, a lot of new pictures... Stay tuned!!!

USA 2009: Day 3

The third day I visited Beverly Hills and I shoot a lot of pictures to that wonderful district, composed by awesome houses with beautiful gardens!! Moreover, I visited the Rodeo Drive, a shopping street famous for designer label and haute couture fashion (it's also famous because Julia Roberts visits it in the movie "Pretty Woman": in the pictures, you can see also the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, used in the same movie). At the end of the day, I tryed for the third time to visit the Hollywood Sign and finally I found the right place to observe it. Mission completed!!!

USA 2009: Day 4

Today, I show you the fourth day of my holiday: I spent that day at the Universal Studios Park and I saw a lot of attractions (The House of Horror, Terminator 4D, Jurassic Park, The Mummy, The Simpsons, Water World, etc.) and for 2 times I made the Universal Tour through the sets of the Studios (The Jaws, Psycho, Desperate Housewives, The Grinch, Beverly Hills Cop III, War of the World, etc.).
It was very exciting to see the real sets, considering I watched a lot of times those locations but only behind a TV screen... If you have the possibility to visit Los Angeles, I suggest you to visit the Universal Studios Park: you will like it!!

USA 2009: Day 5

Lots of people waiting this day because today I will show you the pictures I shoot in the famous "Hazzard Square" (a great experience for every Duke's fan), during the fifth day of my holiday. Infact, that day, in the morning I visited Santa Monica beach and in the afternoon I visited the awesome Warner Bros. Studios choosing the VIP Tour.
I saw a lot of famous sets (including the Central Perk from "Friends", the house from "Growing Pains", the square from "The Dukes of Hazzard" and "Gilmore Girls", the house of "Dr.House", the hospital from "E.R.", etc.) and moreover I saw the wonderful museum with a lot of clothes used by the actors in many movies ("Harry Potter", "Gran Torino", "Batman", "Matrix", "Dirty Harry", "Million Dollar Baby", etc.): unfortunately, I didn't shoot pitures into the museum because it's not allowed. However, I hope you like all these pictures!!!

USA 2009: Day 6

During the 6th day of my holiday, I went to San Francisco, the wonderful city used in the 1968 for the movie "Bullit". Now, I can assert this is the better city I visited during my trip: I loved very much its strange and skewed streets (the most impressive is Lombard Street), its wonderful houses, its awesome bridges (the Golden Gate Bridge, the Oakland Bay Bridge, etc.) and its lovely sea lions.
Driving my car on Frisco's streets was very exciting and for a moment I dreamed to be Steve McQueen!! If you are planning to go in the USA, insert this city in your destinations: you will love it!!!

USA 2009: Day 7

I spent the 7th day of my holiday in San Francisco: during that day, i visited the beautiful Union Square, the famous Pier 39 (with its sleepily sea lions), the characteristic Chinatown and the wonderful Victoria Park with its awesome victorian houses. Moreover, it's funny to see in Frisco the typical trams used in Milan... a piece of Italy in the USA!!

USA 2009: Day 8

During the night between the 7th and the 8th day, I drove from San Francisco to Las Vegas (10 hours, an incredible adventure!!!) so I haven't subtract time to the holiday. In the early morning I was arrived in Las Vegas through a desert freeway: an unusual landscape compared to our streets in Italy.
However, I started to visit Las Vegas (a pied city used a lot of times in various movies or TV series like "Knight Rider" and "Hardcastle & McCormick") and its strange casino and hotels (the Sahara, the Stratosphere, the Caesars Palace, the Trump Plaza, the Bellagio, etc.) Enjoy with these pictures: tomorrow I will publish the last "episode"!

USA 2009: Day 9

Today, I will show you the last "episode" of my holiday in the USA. Infact, since tomorrow this site will come back to talk only about diecast models and I will try to surprise you showing my current work, the Ford Mustang from the movie "Death Race".
However, during my 9th day, I spent the morning in the swimming pool of the Stratosphere hotel, then I visited the last hotels and casinos in Las Vegas (the Venetian, the Treasure Island, the MGM, the New York-New York, the Hollywood Planet, etc.) and during the night I visited the top of the Stratosphere's tower. The day after, I drove my car to Los Angeles for a last day on the famous Hollywood Blvd and on the beautiful beach of Venice Beach.
Now, I'm planning a new trip for the next year: I think I will visit Florida (especially Miami for "Miami Vice" and "Dexter" locations) and Georgia (only to see Atlanta and Covington, the real "Hazzard" town!!).

Death Race Mustang, working in progress

As promised, today I want to show you the progress on my current job, the Ford Mustang used in the movie "Death Race". As you remember, I received this diecast model as a Xmas gift from Alessio, a user of this site: the model is a ruined Shelby Mustang GT500KR and considering its conditions, I've decided to transform it into a new car and the better solution was the Frankenstein's Monster car. To do this, I started creating some layout with the paper and then I recreated the final shapes on the plasticard. This is the result and I'm very satisfy about the result obtained. During the next week, I will continue to customize this car, especially on the rear part. I hope you like it!

Three new entry!!

Three new purchases this week! First of all, I bought the '70 Chevy Monte Carlo used in the movie "Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift": I don't like very much this movie but I like this car, so I decided that it will be a piece of my collection. Moreover, after my holiday, I saw the movie "Fast & Furious: only original parts", so I decided to create the '70 Dodge Charger used by Vin Diesel at the end of the movie: to do this, I bought a 1970 Dodge Charger Street Machine, it's a good base to create the model I have in my mind. Last but not least, I bought another '69 Dodge Charger with the General Lee uniform... The General Lee's in my collection are never enough!!
