Miami Vice, a new era

A new car in my garage!!! This time is the turn of the wonderful F430, the Ferrari used in the 2006 movie "Miami Vice". The model needs only a simple customization to looks like the original car: in the movie, the interiors are not red but black, so in the next days I will change the color.
Moreover, in these days I'm preparing some new dioramas based on "Hazzard". Stay tuned!

Ferrari F430 "Miami Vice" - Work In Progress Part I

I bought this Ferrari F430 diecast model in June 2007 to make a replica of the Ferrari used in the film "Miami Vice". I had promised myself to change the interiors to make them blacks, but it's been almost 9 years... Crazy! Last night, I decided to take it apart and do what I have always deferred, that is paint matt black the interior. Surely I will add a black carpet to give more detail to the model, but I have to wait that everything dry for the better. Wait a few more days and I will update you with the latest updates... I promised, this time I will not wait so many years!

Ferrari F430 "Miami Vice" - Work In Progress Part II

Another day, some small steps towards completing the changes to modify and improve this Ferrari F430 that has long waited to finish under the knife! Yesterday I applied the door panels (also matte black colored) and I packed all four wheels to paint red brake calipers. The final result, with this change, has improved a lot! As a last change, I painted black the two rollbars positioned behind the seats. Over the weekend I will try to add details inside, then finally I will screw the chassis to the body. See you next week and have a nice weekend!

Ferrari F430 "Miami Vice" - Work In Progress Part III

I finally finished to work on the Ferrari F430 used in the movie "Miami Vice". Before reinstalling it, I added to the floor tailored mats in black velvet and saw that I had made to get carried away, I lined with velvet even the floor of the trunk. At that point, I was able to close the body to the chassis and now this diecast model makes a fine display alongside the other two Ferrari used in the TV series "Miami Vice". I have yet to decide what will be my next "victim" to change, but stay tuned and we will see some beautiful thing!
