We are now in the middle of autumn, it's cold and the Covid-19 nightmare still hovers over our heads: there is nothing better, then, than staying at home in the warmth, perhaps working on some new model. It has been a long time since I wanted to replicate it in 1:18 scale and I finally found the incentive to start the legendary "Xtreme Lee", a modernized clone of General Lee made by musician Kenny Wayne Shepherd. To create this new model, I started from a base that is now fairly cheap and easy to find, the 1969 Dodge Charger made by Maisto. So I started by removing the R/T pad printed on the rear of the model and then I moved on to make the roof and door stickers using some photos of the real car found on the Internet.
   Now enjoy the photos, in the next few days I will show you the work done on the suspensions and rims. Have a nice Sunday!

   Slowly I am carrying out the work on the Xtreme Lee: today I have been busy recreating the rear axle where to connect the new rear wheels produced by ACME (model A1801837W). Since the attachment of the wheels was different from the standard ones produced by Maisto, I had to recreate a new axle with wire that would adapt to the suspension system provided on the model. I also adjusted the set-up and the new wheels are now at the right height.
   In the next few days I will go on mounting the new ACME wheels at the front. Enjoy it and see you next update!

   The Xtreme Lee couldn't stay without the front wheels for too long, so I went to work and modified the front axle to accommodate the new ACME wheels. To do this, I had to put some spacers, that is washers that allowed the wheels to be positioned flush with the body, just as I had already done for the rear wheels. Could I limit myself to this? Absolutely not, so I created (like the good old days!) the front push-bar with plasticard. Of course I also took the opportunity to report all the measurements on Fusion 3D so I can re-print others in the future (you never know!).
   That's all for today, but stay tuned: as soon as the brown paint I ordered arrives, I will proceed with the interior modification, you will see some nice ones!

   Last weekend I was able to work on the interior of Kenny Wayne Shepherd's "Xtreme Lee". First of all, I removed the old seats and built a support with plasticard to support the new, more sporty and enveloping seats (coming from an old Ferrari produced by Burago). Furthermore, since the new seats had a hollow back, I always proceeded with the plasticard to create the closure of the back. Of course, I then proceeded to paint all the pieces with a light brown paint (code RAL 1001, produced by Macota) and the result is truly fabulous! However, to complete the dashboard I proceeded to create a template of the instrument area and through my computer I created a decal to be applied on the plastic part. Finally, since I do this on all my models, I have lined the car floor with a darker brown carpet.
   We are therefore now towards the conclusion of this model: next time I will show you all the finished interior and the final assembly of the car. Bring a little more patience, it will be worth it, I promise!

   And here we are, as promised, to introduce you to the latest changes to Kenny Wayne Shepherd's "Xtreme Lee". In this case, the changes focused mainly on the interior, with the preparation of the decal for the center console. Not happy, however, I also decided to replace the engine with a more beautiful and detailed one produced by ACME. Needless to say, the result is fantastic: I am really satisfied with how it turned out and on the Instagram profile it is enjoying a lot of success among fans (including the same Kenny Wayne Shepherd who put "like" to the photo!).
   Now, I just take a weekend break, and then we start again with some new models, so come back and see me soon, since there will be news for Halloween anyway!
