Project "Automan": Lamborghini Countach LP400 |
|
|
The idea of making the "digital" car used in the TV series "Automan" I had it a long time ago seeing the model created by a fellow collector, Ighi (in the Link section you will find his website "ModellismoTV"). To do that I had taken a Lamborghini Countach LP500 produced by Burago, the same used by Ighi. However, for one reason or another, I have never taken to working as it should. These days talking to another fellow collector, Nicola, advised me to take the LP400 version produced by Kyosho, model much more correct to replicate the car of the TV show and much more detailed. However, on the Internet I found almost always models painted yellow, orange or white and needed to be completely repainted. Given the quality of the model, I did not want to take it apart and completely repainted, perhaps risking to ruin the model ... So, after a series of search, I could find in Germany a model already painted in black, is expected to arrive next week, then I will try to figure out how to make the blue lines that run through the edges of the body. I found a tape produced by 3M 2mm wide and reflective: it could be a great solution! Next week I will update you on how I intend to proceed. Have a good day!
