An idea for a new General Lee! |
|
|
Watching the two recent movies based on the original TV series "The Dukes of Hazzard", I realize that a lot of things has been changed respect the earlier version (characters, towns, habits, etc.) but only one is equal: the General Lee! Ok, in the first movie, especially in the interior, the production has changed some details, but the substance is always the same: an orange '69 Dodge Charger with "01" number on the doors and a confederate flag on the roof. So, only for fun, I tryed to imagine how could be a modern version of the General Lee, using a recent car. The first problem was find a car that replace with glory the Dodge Charger: the 2006 Charger is improper for this role, infact today it's not easy to find a very muscle car... However, searching on Internet, I found a modern prototype (created by Dodge) that for me is perfect!! Unfortunately, it's not a Charger but the remake of another famous '70 muscle car: the Challenger. So, using a good graphical software, I modified the original prototype adding the usual "General Lee" details and now you can see the result. I love this version and I think that in the next month I will try to realize it in 1:18 scale! Posted by: Fabiano on Sun 5/20/2007 at 12:27 | | 0 | 0 |
