Superimposition
Today, only for fun, I tryed to analyze with a different view, the old General Lee with the new one. However, this time I choose a different method to do it: I shot one lateral picture for every model (in the same position and at the same distance from the camera) and then, with Paint Shop Pro, I overlapped the pictures, adding a transparent effect (70%). The result is in the following image. As you can see, the bodies are not equal: the old version is a little more long on the rear, but the mudguards are completely different! Moreover, not only the door is a little more big, but we can see the "01" is planted in different places. Everithing else is similar (pay attention, I'm talking about only for the size). Lastly, the wheels on the new model are bigger respect the old one. If you want, let me know your considerations!

Back to the Future!
Finally, I bought 2 diecast models contained in my Whislist: they are not very rare, but I decided to buy them, before they became hard to find. These models are the DMC DeLorean used in the movies "Back to the Future - Part I & III". I think they will arrive the next week, then I will prepare a photo session will all the DeLorean's in my collection.

The new KITTs Sells For $300,000
Just when you thought you'd seen the last of KITT, it's back at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Palm Beach. We wonder if this means there won't be a full television series based on the movie after all. Yes, these were the actual cars used in the made-for-NBC movie. That means that these actually aren't even GT500KR models, but a pair of dressed-up Mustang GTs "inspired by the GT500KR." Though for the final bid of $300,000 for both the "Attack-Mode" and normal KITT, Ford included the rights to buy an actual GT500KR at MSRP. Just don't get too worked up about the wretched excess, because all the money is going to charity. (source jalopnik.com)

An awesome replica
In these years, I saw on Internet a lot of TV/movie replica cars but I never saw something like this: an awesome KITT replica created by an italian "Knight Rider" fan, Marco. He used a 1982 Pontiac Trans Am and with an incredible ability with the electronic components, he has created a car fully computerized. I invite you to visit his site (where he explain step by step the way he has realized every piece) and if you want to see with your eyes the incredible result obtained by Marco, search on YouTube some videos of his KITT... you will find yourself!!!

Something different!
The next week I will go (with my girlfriend) in the United States for a 2 weeks holiday: we will visit New York, Philadelphia, Baltimora, Washington and Atlantic City (I've rent a new Dodge Charger for this ride: I can't wait to drive it!!!). Trying to reduce the weight of our suitcases, I decided to buy a new little notebook (usefull to call my parents with Skype and to check my work email), the awesome ASUS eeePC. This PC is very little but very powerful, especially for a portable device: in the following pictures, it's near the new Authentics General Lee... As you can see its dimensions are very moderate and the diecast model bend out. However, during my holiday, I will not forget the site: I will continue to update it with a lot of pictures from the USA!!!

The departure is forthcoming
In the next days, as I mentioned in my previous post, I will go in the United States for an holiday. Considering my passion for the movies and the TV serial, I'm planning to visit some locations used in the "celluloid world": in particular, I will visit for sure the house used in the awesome sitcom "The Cosby Show", located in 10 St Luke's Place in New York. When I created my old site dedicated to this sitcom, I asked to my visitors some updated pictures about this location, but no one has helped me. So, finally, I have the occasion to visit it directly: I hope to obtain a shot with me seated on those famous stairs.
