Miami Vice, a new era

A new car in my garage!!! This time is the turn of the wonderful F430, the Ferrari used in the 2006 movie "Miami Vice". The model needs only a simple customization to looks like the original car: in the movie, the interiors are not red but black, so in the next days I will change the color.
Moreover, in these days I'm preparing some new dioramas based on "Hazzard". Stay tuned!

Boars Nest: Work in Progress - Step 1

The previous days are very rainy here in Varese, so at the evening I started to prepare a new element for my next dioramas: the Boars Nest! Searching on Internet I have not found nothing similar realized in 1:18 scale, so the project is more exciting! I'm realizing it using only: paperboard, textures printed on paper, scissors, glue and many many patience! Now, I only created the main wall face (will some graffiti) and the front entrance. In the next days, I will continue with the lateral walls, the back wall and the roof.
Unfortunately, I took pictures only in indoor, so the light is not perfect. When the weather will change, for example with wonderful sunny days, I will shoot new pictures.

I want that DVD!!!

I'm trying to buy the pre-release DVD "Collier & Co." directly from the great John Schneider. Unfortunately, the auction doesn't allow me to buy this item because I'm outside US (it's strange but this auction doesn't include international shipping...) I wrote some email to John and he reply me with the following answer:

Now, I hope that John will give me an alternative way to buy this DVD because I wish to have it in my collection, especially with John's autograph!! So, John, if you read this message, please help me to buy your wonderful DVD!!!

I got it!

Finally, I bought it!!! Yesterday, the eBay auction for the DVD "Collier & Co." finished, so I lost every chance to get it. However, this morning I have seen that John Schneider has opened a new cumulative auction for the DVD, decreasing the price ($25, only 18 euro here in Europe) and including other "Collier & Co." gadgets like 3 posters, a 8x10 picture with autograph and a coolie. Now, I will wait that the package arrives here in Italy, but I'm very happy for this my last purchase. When I will receive the DVD, I will watch it and then I will write a complete review for you about this movie!!
If you want to buy the same package taking advantage of this offer, point you browser here! Yeeee Haaaa!!!

Boars Nest: Work in Progress - Step 2

The weather is not changed: always rain here in Varese, so, I've created other parts for the Boars Nest diorama. First of all, I created the lateral walls and then I created the rear wall: this work was not very simple because it was very difficult align all the paperboard parts, but at the end I think I obtained a good result.
Moreover, yesterday evening I realized also the rear roof. To obtain the better result I put in traction the roof and the building parts with a string. This morning I've removed the string and I'm very satisfied about the result: the roof is perfect and the final structure is very compact. The next week, I think I will finish this job: I will continue to work creating the front roof, so continue to visit my site to see more updates.

I'm the Man... now I need to create the machine!

I nearly finished the Boars Nest (the next days I will post some new pictures), so I started to think to my next project. This time I would to create a custom diecast that is not produced by any models manufacturer: it's not an easy project, but I think that with a lot of patience and good tools I can obtain an awesome result! It's strange to say, but this time my project is not on 4 wheels, but only 2 wheels: yes, this time my project regards a motorbike... a particular motorbike!! Yes, I want to realize the wonderful "Street Hawk" bike... To do this, I will use the chassis, the wheels and the engine of an Honda XR 400 produced by Maisto in scale 1:18, and then I will create the body using the plasticard. With a good paint and some decals, I think that I could create a good replica of "The Man, The Machine, Street Hawk!".
Now, I've ordered on eBay the base model and when I will receive it, I will start to post the W.I.P. If you want to read other info about this my new project, please visit the Street Hawk Board

Boars Nest: Work in Progress - Step 3

Ok, as announced in my previous post, the Boars Nest is nearly to be finished: I created the front roof and now is perfectly attached to the rest of the building. Now, I need only to create a little cover to join the two roof parts and then, I will attach the "Boars Nest" sign with good reinforcement. Finally, the next week I think I will use this building to create a new "Hazzard" diorama... so, stay tuned and visit the site soon!!!

A lot of Hazzard news!

A lot of news this time!!! Finally, I finished the Boars Nest: I think that it needs some other details, but now I can start to use it on my "Hazzard" diorama. Infact, clicking on the first image you could see the last pictures that I've shoot when I finished this paperboard building. Moreover, clicking on the second image you could see the first setting of this building: it's a very simple setting, but I tryed to freeze the classic scene with the General Lee and Rosco's Police car in front of the Boars Nest. At least but not last, clicking on the third picture you could see the first diorama that I've created with a new launching ramp and a great advertisement where is represented "Boss Hogg"!
Now, the next weeks will be used only to create "Street Hawk" and the "Traveller" used on "Collier & Co." movie.

Traveller, Baby!

Yesterday, I received a new package with new 2 diecast models. It contains a surprise model but I will show you the next week.
However, today I would to show you that I've started to work on the "Traveller", the '69 Dodge Charger used by John Schneider in the movie "Collier & Co." To do this, I've used a "General Lee" (2005 version) and for the moment, I've removed all the decals with acetone. Moreover, I've started to prepare the engine and the engine compartment.
In the next days, I will update new pictures with my progress!!
