Everyone knows "Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift", but many people don't know "Initial D". It is noted that "Initial D" is not born as a film, but as a Japanese animated series in 1995 set in the world of drift, mixing drawings in manga style (as regards the characters) and CGI animation (regarding the car). Later in 2005 was transposed to the big screen, while keeping the same characters, the same cars and the same spirit that has always characterized every episode of the animated series. The budget is certainly lower than that used for "Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift", but the drift scenes are quite spectacular, thanks to the participation also of the "Drift King", Keiichi Tsuchiya, both as an actor in a small cameo, both as the coordinator for all the stunts performed in the movie.
   The story is the same as the animated series: the main character Takumi Fujiwara, driving the Toyota Trueno AE-86 owned by his father Bunta, become the best drift pilot of the Mount Akina, challenging one after the other all those who until then had been considered unbeatable (including the Takahashi brothers). In all of this outline, some good interplay between the main character and the beautiful Takuni Natsuki. I honestly didn't know this movie, until a few years ago, but after I documented, I looked before the animated series, and then the film and neither disappointed me: surely the animated series is more exciting and varied, but I still recommend to watch this movie to all the fans of the genre, you will not disappoint! Here is exhibited the DVD of the movie along with the Toyota Trueno AE-86 produced by AutoArt, a car not very appealing from an aesthetic point of view, but in the world of drift is considered one of the best ever! Good vision!
